WebRing.com System Webring

Partially Transformed

This page shows the webrings I own in the WebRing.com system.

The webrings on this page have been transferred to me from other owners.

I have not yet completely transformed them to meet my personal standards and style.

Those which prior owners have transferred to me and which I have modified to meet my personal standards and style are shown on another page (see below). (This other page also shows those which I created myself.)

This page is part of WebRing.com Help, my extensive reference section about the WebRing.com system. WebRing.com was born 12.Oct.2001 when Yahoo! left the webring business. It was reborn in Oct.2006 when it had a major redesign and began charging for what had been a free service.

What Is a WebRing.com System Webring?

. This is the WebRing.com system logo as of Oct.2006. This logo is shown ONLY to illustrate the logo for purposes of this article. The appearance of this logo in this article does not imply any endorsement or affiliation of any kind between this site or the author and the WebRing.com system.
.
This is the new logo for the WebRing.com system, implemented in their changes of Oct.2006. It distinguishes this webring system from the other systems like Ringlink, RingSurf and Bravenet. See also my articles: WebRing.com Logos and Is Webring a Trademark?

The WebRing.com system is the largest and most prominent brand of webring system. It is the direct descendent of the Original WebRing created by Sage Weil.

First owned by Starseed, then by Geocities, it was acquired by Yahoo!. In September 2000, Yahoo! assimilated the Original WebRing and replaced it with Yahoo! WebRing. Then on 12.Oct.2001, Yahoo! spun off the system to create the WebRing.com system as an independent webring host.

For an extensive list of resources, including more history of the concept of webrings and lots more information about the WebRing.com system, see my section on the WebRing.com system.

When another owner transfers a webring to me, I transform it to match my personal standards and style. For example, I adjust its description, create new graphics and a new navbar, and create a new join page. This page lists those webrings I've finished transforming, as well as those webrings which I created. ««»»

Webrings Not Yet Fully Transformed

The webrings below were transferred to me by other webring owners. I am very grateful to these webring owners for their gracious consideration.

These webrings have not yet been "fully integrated" into my system. I will be integrating them over the next months.

However, you do not need to wait. You can apply to them right now, today.

The first group below has been "more" transformed. They typically do not have graphics assigned for either their hub/list page or for the navbar, but their email and join information has been adjusted to reflect my standards.

The second group is "less" transformed and may still have, for example, information from the former webring owner.

The third group are managed by my student, Danielle Foreman.
