Yahoo! WebRing Management Links and Pages This page describes the various links and pages within the Yahoo! WebRing website. These links and pages, and the functions they support, enable a member to maintain their own membership and enable a ringmaster to maintain their own webrings.
How This Page Is Organized
The Yahoo! WebRing website contains the pages for both members and ringmasters to use to manage their participation in the Yahoo! WebRing system. This page shows the most important links and pages of the Yahoo! WebRing management website. Links and pages are listed alphabetically. The name of the link is the exact text that appears as hyperlinked text on the page. Names of links are italicized on this page. Although they have an entry on this page, they are not hyperlinked to their entry. The name of the page is the text that appears to indicate page functionality on the page. Page names are hyperlinked to their entry on this page. While this page shows many of the links and pages, it does not show all. If you encounter one that is not shown which you believe should be shown, or if you discover any other error or omission, please email me.

Commentary: Text on this page says "To copy the navigation HTML code for your ring, find it in Manage Site Settings." This is not correct. First, Yahoo! WebRing does not provide navigation HTML. Instead, it provides JavaScript which loads the navigation HTML dynamically at browse time. Second, there is no link or page called "Manage Site Settings". Instead, the necessary page is Ring Navigation Bar, linked by Get Navigation Bar, within the Member Tools links. This link appears in the Ring Options menu. (However, this menu appears only if you are the ringmaster of this ring.) It links to the Customize Ring page. (Note that the Customize Ring page is not clearly labeled as such. Instead it contains three identified "Page Sections": (1) Navigation Bar, (2) Ring Image and (3) Color Scheme.) The Wazillion Navbars Project Webring Sections and Subsections The Webring Section is a large section of my website. I have divided it into four major "subsections".
Each "subsection" has it's own special "logo". As you travel in the various subsections you will find, near the bottom of each page, links to pages within that subsection and also links to the other subsections. To go to any subsection, just click on the "logo" or on the text link for that subsection.
Webrings: General Information This subsection includes general information about webrings. Webrings can be hosted by a variety of different services. This section deals with the overall concepts and issues, not with any one particular "brand" of webring. It includes my Webring FAQ, links to articles about webrings, and general help information. Click here or on the graphic.
The WebRing.com System This subsection includes specific information about the WebRing.com system. While not the only webring system on the net, it is the best known and the most used. I own many webrings in this system and belong to many webrings in this system. (I also own and belong to many webrings in other systems as well.) Click here or on the graphic.
Webrings I Own and Belong To This subsection shows all the webrings I own and links to all the webrings to which I belong. This includes webrings in Ringlink, RingSurf, Bravenet and the WebRing.com system as well. If you are looking to join one of my webrings, this is a good place to start. If you wonder about the webrings I belong to, this is the place to go. Click here or on the graphic. |
